I don’t like shopping, but I do like outdoor markets. In the U.S., that mostly means shopping at farmers markets. In Nablus I loved walking through the Old City’s tunnel-like market searching for sandals or smelling the spices. In Hyderabad, the best way to shop was to find the particular alley where that type of good is sold (the alley for electronics or jewelry or wedding invitations, for example) and then find the best deal there. Since today is a national celebration of consumerism, today’s post features market photography from around the world.
